What did you do?

 What did you do this week to get off the couch?

Shopping? Museum? Lunch out? Movies? Festival?

A Festival, that is what we did. The San Antonio Coffee Festival to be exact!



We had so much fun! The Coffee Festival was in held in La Vallita the first small community in San Antonio, which is downtown San Antonio, along a portion of the River Walk. 
We walked through the venue first, and DH complained about how crowded it was, and to be fair it seemed to be a pretty popular activity. Then we bought our tickets got  our cups, and waded through the  crowds. The lines were pretty long. but it was a nice day to stand in a line of people, and talk. After a bit of a wait we got our first coffee. It wasn't a full cup, just a taste, and no sugar or cream. DH was a little upset. We waded back through the crowd, and found a less crowed area. Drank our black coffee, and listened to the music. 
Then back to another line to wait for more coffee. This time we stayed in the less crowded area, where the lines were a little shorter. The music was good, the weather was nice, and the crowd started to thin out .
 
If you are gonna do this next year, be prepared for the lines, and for the amount of coffee in your little cup. I had to keep reminding  DH that if we had gotten full cups of coffee the caffeine would have been the end of us. As it was 4 (I had 5) half cups of coffee were perfect. 

After we finished the festival, we walked to the riverwalk, and enjoyed lunch, overlooking the San Antonio River. All in all a great way to spend a Saturday in San Antonio.

My youngest child graduated from High School  in May of 2017, and I found myself spending way too much time sitting on the couch. I was reading, checking facebook, looking at pinterest etc. I no longer had to take kids to or pick kids up from any of the many activities they were involved in.  I was looking at an empty nest, well not exactly, the two younger ones are living at home, but still, I was spending way too much time on the couch. I decided it was time for a change. Time to get out and do something. I will be dragging DH along, but if I can't get him I'll find friends, or go it...

Stuoid Idiot

What a stupid idot! I wanted to say somethig else but I like to think I dont talk like that. I thought I could do this but Im not! Im not writing, Im not making a sucess of myself nothing. I wonder if I am even a good teacher. Or a good mother. I have 4 kids, two of whom who stll live at home because they are not going to school, but working part time jobs! The other two .. one went to collage for three years but quit because he ran out of money, and didnt know what he wanted to do. so now he works but not in what he wants. The other, just wants to make money, She had a baby right after she turned 18, baerly graduated from high school, and now works in a factory job making truck beds. I dont even know if her baby is even in  school rightnow because they have moved so many times since last april, a year ago. I want friends, but feel like I do? Because no one does. I do nothing to make it happen.... like I said what an idiot! Comment Or even read....I dare you!
